Sneak peek – hand sewing a pouch for my 14th century inspired Backgammon Game

fabric for a pouch for my 14th century inspired backgammon gameI “found” some awesome fabric in my stash and just started hand sewing a pouch for my 14th century inspired Backgammon game. I really couldn’t help it, I really had to do it – it was just too tempting. *lol* 😉

Well this small side project here is quasi a treat for myself for all the German Brick Stitch chart work I have  recently done for my first project. I really needed a brake from it.

Another “good” reason is that I still need a nice pouch to protect my hand-painted 14th century inspired Backgammon board which I finished last year.
Btw. I put together some pictures of it to give you an idea of what I am talking about:

Just for clarification – the game board itself is not inspired on an actual period game piece but the different parts I painted on the outside and inside are all (besides the coat of arms for me and my lord) inspired by actual designs, pictures and patterns from the 14th century.

…and now some sneak peek photos for you of the hand sewing progress:

…no, that’s not a mistake *lol* …anyone want to guess for what the hole is? 😉
