The last days I not only worked on getting rid of the Spring Crown Tournament aftermath at home. I also worked my way through all the photos I took during the tournament. And here are some of my personal favorites: From afar as well as from up close is this pavilion set up quite impressive – all these banners, the tapestries in the background… *sigh* I really love this set up. But I am not quite sure to whom this pavilion, the tapestries and all the banners belong. However, this doesn’t dampen the great inspiration it provides for the future…

After getting rid of most of the Crown Tournament aftermath at home, I finally found the time to pick my most favorite picture taken at Border Raids in Tennessee two weeks ago: The Baron & Baroness of the Barony of Glaedenfeld are not only very handsome, they are also very nice and gentle. And they are definitely one of my favorite couples within the SCA. Yeah, I can’t help it, I am a helpless romantic… 🙂

I am tremendously excited! I was just browsing the internet and looking at pictures of 12th century artwork as I run into a lovely detail photo of a 12th century female statue. And as I followed the picture to its source, I discovered a complete photo album… 😀 Well, after looking at 12th century artwork for about 10 years now, it doesn’t happen very often that I run into really good detail photos of extant 12th century artwork which I haven’t seen yet. But I still look out for them as the excitement of finding new detail photos or a special unique piece still gives me a good thrill… *giggle*

Wooohoooo! My photos taken at the most recent SCA event “Glaedenfeld‘s Iris Faire 2017 – The Crumbs of War” are online! 😀 Glaedenfeld‘s Iris Faire has always been a great SCA event. And also this year my husband and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously. He participated in a lot of good heavy fighting on this day and he even won one of the tournaments. 🙂

*Wooohooo* I am back from Gulf Wars! As awesome as Gulf Wars was, it is indeed great to be back home. Several days of camping is always a good reminder how great the luxury of a modern bathroom is. A bathroom which one only has to share with ones sweetheart… And after the cold snap during most of Gulf Wars, I now tremendously enjoy our modern heating system at home. Damn, that where some really cold nights but we made the best out of it. Garb layering was tested until it was deemed sufficient and it seemed like everyone pulled out their best furs in order to keep warm. Gulf Wars preparation & great news for my husband… :D

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! My husband was asked to join the order of the chivalry during court at War college in Alabama! 😀 It already happened more than a week ago but – gosch – this awesome news still seems so amazing and unreal to me. Like it is just too good to be true. And being the natural skeptic that I am, I might actually not believe it until it really happens… We will see… And… Omg! Omg! Omg!
