I enjoyed the recent weekend at the SCA event Meridian Grand Tournament tremendously but it feels great to be back home again. 😀 It took some time – several loads of laundry as well as many things which had to be put back to their “between-event-places” – but finally I feel like I am back home again. I brought many photos with me from the Meridian Grand Tournament. However, I decided to start my very first posting after this beautiful event with a small surprise and novelty for you – with something I haven’t done before. Yes, I just uploaded my very first short video on youtube! 🙂

And this weekend I am heading to another awesome SCA event held inside the borders of the mighty and beautiful Kingdom of Meridies – to the “Meridian Grand Tournament”. 🙂 Everything is packed – the tent, the bed, my painted backgammon board, the scrolls I recently completed and even another new AoA scroll which I completed yesterday, as well as a lot of more or less useful stuff… *lol* I even packed some books I already wanted to read for a rather long time, which contain some valuable informations for my upcoming wedding clothing project. You maybe remember my recent posting with the sneak peek at my calligraphy work for the vigil book for a friend. And today I have even more calligraphy for you – I just finished three new AoA blank scrolls for the SCA kingdom of Meridies. 😀 While I was working at my calligraphy for the vigil book, I had so much fun that I decided to practice my Batarde/Bastarda hand a little more. Therefore I started working at an AoA blank scroll. Well, doing calligraphy again after such a long time felt so great that I finally created three new AoA blank scrolls. 🙂

Today I was working at the text for the next FAQ posting about embroidery materials. Unfortunately it takes much longer to put this new posting together than I first expected and it is still far from being complete… *sigh* …and in already less then 2 hours my sweetheart and some good friends are kidnapping me to the SCA event “Tourney of the Foxes”. Ok, the new posting isn’t finished yet and I should start preparing myself for a weekend event. But, well, I didn’t want to leave to “Foxes” without at least another posting for you with which you can start into your well-earned weekend. 🙂

Racaire married her American crusader… :D
Maybe you already heard the rumors and yes, they are true – Racaire finally married her American crusader. 😀 It took several months and steps but finally things are coming together. The visa process took rather long as well as preparing my stuff for the move to America. But finally I can see a light at the horizon.

My SCA scrolls and calligraphy for “Not So Grand 8” :D
*Woooohoooo* It is monday! That means that the weekend and also the SCA event “Not So Grand 8” are over and I can show you my scrolls and my calligraphy for the event… 😀 I didn’t get to practice my “Bastarda” – my preferred calligraphy hand – very often during the last months therefore I very appreciated this small “scroll commission” of my lord. This is always a great opportunity for me to get creative and to play around. I had a lot of fun working at this scrolls. 😀 I made two scrolls on “Pergamenata” for the winner of the fighting and the winner of the A&S and 3 “Thank you scrolls” for…

My new scrolls arrived in Meridies :)
Wooohooo! I got great news from my sweetheart – my scrolls arrived in time in the SCA “Kingdom of Meridies”. They are for the upcoming SCA event “Not So Grand 8” this weekend. Yeah, just some more days and hopefully the last “Not So Grand” event without me… Btw. after this weekend I have the permission to show you the scrolls… 😀

Surprise surprise… my new SCA scrolls go to…
…the Kingdom of Meridies! 😀 I am just back from the post office. The SCA scrolls at which I was working yesterday evening are already on their way to the SCA “Kingdom of Meridies”. Well, I promised to keep the details secret and won’t show you photos of them until after the event but I am allowed to tell you following: They are for the upcoming SCA event “Not So Grand 8“.
